Huh, reminds me of the paint I put on a race BajaBug in the early 80s. Nice to see the BFGs on there, I wonder if those are 35s.....

the arb dakar 60 was in 4wd monthly (now 4wd action) yes it is bright :cool: but is was built by arb to show case there stuff and it has seen the outback it also starred in there simpson desert dvd it does look cool in the flesh and if i could aford it i would gladly look after it . this rebuild saw every nut and bolt replaced and i believe the budget blew out very quickly !

Original Car was a 1985 turbo diesel 60 series, it cost 6,000 with 318,000 kmon the clock. they spent 25000 on the vehicle.
4000 on the body and paint work
12000 on protection, suspension and interior.
remainder on accesories.

i have an article on the cruiser and many more pics but do not have access to a scanner at the moment.

Any idea how much of a body lift?
 
Look - it has "Murrican" mirrors & unbroken rear sliding windows!

Hey all, what's about with the Murrican side mirror ? Is that OEM mirror or aftermarket mirror ? I have same mirror on my BJ60 and I'm thinking about to change it, too small and not very solid.
