The land cruiser was my wife's truck before it was mine. Since I've done the suspension she HATES driving it. Be very careful you're not modifying the truck for yourself and you make wife unhappy.
Happy wife, happy life.
If you want simple just use a set of Bilsteins with stock springs. It's a little stiff but no stiffer than the BP51s and you'll get a mild lift. That's what I used when the truck was driven by my wife.

Nice! What drove the decision for Kings?

shocks and UCA went in without too much trouble. I haven't been able to drive it more than about 5 miles so no review on performance just yet.....looks amazing though.

That's man jewelry! Those look great!

I just can't believe you let your 16 month old get a tattoo! ;)

Nice looking baller parts! I love shiney things.

nice looking cruiser! Since this is my wifes daily driver I want to keep it pretty mild. I'm not apposed to adding rear springs but my preference would be to just lift the front to make the cruiser level while getting the most performance.

Did you only do the front? Curious why you chose that path? Suspension is generally tuned together at all 4 corners. Changing the front only is not going to improve performance in any meaningful way, and likely will result in some funny idiosyncrasies.

I'd bet that the front end is now higher in spring rate and dampening. If you kept the rear stock, it'll likely do a lot of the energy absorption, and be wiggling and oscillating when traversing terrain.

i did the rear king shocks as well. Its hard to see in this pic but only one I have. I left the stock rear springs as i didn't want any additional lift in the rear. It actually is a solid set up. The rear is still about 1/2 inch taller than the front. I'm very happy with the way it looks and drives.

it was close but i ended up going with the kings because they were slightly less expensive and I was worried about the cold weather clunk that some of the guys running bp51's are having. all in all I am sure I would have been just as happy with the bp51's.

i agree, installed BP51s on my LC200 about two months ago. First two weeks was factory settings, ride was barely different than the stock OME. Decided to adjust the Compression and Rebound myself, got me a very plush ride and say this would be the best $4,000 spent on the car! BRAVO!

How plush? Better than stock? This has been my only hangup stopping me from going down the upgraded suspension route.

You can really dial the BPs in. After initial install it was way to plush for me and drove like a Lexus. Quick turn of dials and firmed it up to my liking. It can adjust to whatever your like which is the biggest benefit.

Ah. Aren't the kings a full coilover? So even if you installed their springs, you can set the ride height to your liking? Looking good btw.

I am ordering a suspension kit soon as I get home next week! I was leaning toward Ironman foam cell because I heard they ride good, last long and seem like good bang for buck. They are not adjustable but also do not need to be rebuilt - ever.

That brings me to my questions on this King setup.

1) will they have to be rebuilt?

2) if you did not lift rear I'm assuming you only lifted front 2"? Seems like most kits only list 2" but some get 3" somehow.

They look like blue jewelry btw!

Not the OP, but I had Kings with Compression adjusts on my 4Runner.

King Pros:
-Probably the best performing coilover/shock combo on the market today. Performance is great.
-Build quality is great. USUALLY no severe squeaking.

King Negs:
-Price $$. Theyre the most expensive, but others aren't too far behind.
-Customer service isn't the best. Big outfit, that got behind/in over their headwhen they released the OEM line. I believe they have improved a bit, but the TTs, Ultra 4, and Desert Trucks will always have their full attention.
-Ride height adjustability: You have to take the entire shock out to change the ride height. As with others the CO can remain on and be adjusted with a spanner wrench.
-Backordered. You'll most likely wait 2 months to recieve your order.

All aftermarket coilovers will have to be rebuilt at some point, this is where customer service comes into play. I believe the ICON guys are the leader here.

Any long term use update... Are you happy with the Kings selection ?
