Looks great! I just finished installing one on my 2006 LC 100 Series tonight. My LC had the factory rack, and the forward set of mounting holes that the factory rack uses did not align with the ARB front mounts. For anyone contemplating the Base Rack, there are another set of bolts/holes that the front brackets attach to hidden under the drip moulding behind the sunroof. That was a head scratcher as it wasn't detailed in the installation manual. What did you do for drip molding trim along the roof? Did you leave it off?
Left the drip moulding off as neither my LC or LX moulding lined up. May at some point trim some of the pieces to fit under the BASE rack mounts because that channel can act as a water/dirt trap.Looks great! Interesting — ARB shows it on their website as an accessory for the rack. I have one on order and hadn't heard that yet.Update on Air deflector
ARB rep said they don't produce an air deflector for the base rack even though it's shown in the instructions and all install photos and marketing PR. Offered a $100 refund so putting that towards the light bar. Haven't driven it with the rack on yet.
Yeah kind of a bummer. I planned on going with the light bar anyway, so a little discount helps. Hopefully ARB resolves it in future ordersInteresting — ARB shows it on their website as an accessory for the rack. I have one on order and hadn't heard that yet.
Drove it this morning at freeway speeds. The rack definitely needs one.

Got the rack on and it's fantastic! Everything from the welds to the gasketed hardware is top tier product. Ordering the light bar soon from you guys as well! These new Base racks have been a bit of an odd roll-out, they've had to revise part numbers a few times, in several cases before stock even arrived to the US. Now that stock is arriving we are starting to get a feel for the kits and contents. The rack themselves have been fantastic, I look forward to putting one on my Cruiser. We'll get the applications sorted soon too!
Same. Rack doesn't use the front stock roof attachments (on my 06). Uses the hidden ones further back, under the black roof rail thing. Before I pull it off, is there any downside to just going without it? ...besides not collecting pine needles anymore?Likewise. Would love to know what you end up doing.
If they're long enough, I may order the aluminum moulding trim with seals and covers and cut it to fit the front mounting location. The ones that were on my LC didn't go all the way to the A pillar trim piece.
I've ran it for a week without the channel. Don't see any downsides besides possible water collection and dirt buildupSame. Rack doesn't use the front stock roof attachments (on my 06). Mine is still off. It collects debris quite a bit but I have a tree nearby that produces a lot of litter. I'm working on finding a solution to replace the moulding, but can't seem find dimensions for the OEM pieces. The ones with the old rack don't extend all the way to the A pillar. My moulding at the A pillar is also coming loose so that's something else to address as well. I also haven't had it in the rain or washed it yet. I also put down a bead of silicon around the footprint of the rubber and the roof channel, but haven't had the nerve to test it yet.Same. Rack doesn't use the front stock roof attachments (on my 06). Make sure that front bolt is torqued to 22nm as mentioned in the instructions. I went around and rechecked everything after a week with no issues.Mine is still off. Would it be worth seeking an official response from ARB? They went to the trouble of sending me all this hardware to attach the deflector. Definitely shows on the parts list in the manual for the 100 series mount kit. I received all the same stuff as well. Ended up just purchasing the light bar. It does seem there are some kinks to work out. Like why couldn't I have used the same mounts as the factory rack? There's even a hole in the mount kit perfectly aligned with it. It's pretty obvious it won't work with the provided hardware as the spacing is different between the bolt holes. Is the forward location rated for a different load? Many other rack makers don't seem to have a problem with it. Have you installed it? Seems kinda far back and low? or fine?I received all the same stuff as well. Ended up just purchasing the light bar. Rack absolutely needs a fairing on it especially at highway speeds
Have mine installed. I'd probably check where you mounted the turn brackets in the rack channels. I'll try and grab some photos tomorrow of where it sitsHave you installed it? Seems kinda far back and low? or fine?
I tried to order that through cruiser outfitters and through OK4WD, both were only able to order it as a kit with the 72×51. Maybe contacting an ARB rep might helpThe 84 inch one will fit, I wonder why they don't offer it on the 100.
I also wonder if you could order the mounts and 84 inch rack separately.
