True but you could always invite your brother and have the wedding in Cottonwood.

Wife and I are potentially in. Here's some quick phone pics from the book Murf was alluding to, which I highly recommend buying:

I need to get one of those books.

Looks like a great book, apparently these sellers are in Colorado....:smokin:

who is planning on camping afterwards?
I'll be camping before & after!

The only way I can go on these far north trips is to leave straight from work on Friday and spend Sunday getting home.

We will meet up initially at the Chevron gas station at Cordes Junction at 8:30 AM which is at the I-17 and Hwy 69 intersection (19625 E Cordes Lakes Rd,I-17, Cordes Junction, AZ 86333-5102) I'll be on CB Channel 25 and monitoring HAM 146.460 (I can't broadcast yet).

We will then meet up with those coming from the north at the trail head at about 9:30 at these coordinates; 34.70746, -112.14943. It's just off Hwy 89A, take a right turn at the closed Prescott Day Picnic site. It's well signed. Don't miss the turnoff or you have to wait 3 miles to turn around...don't ask me how I know this. :| Unfortunately there's no parking lot, just line up on the right of the dirt road.

Next time Wilma!

I may make this run

I now have to add a funeral to the list of things to do this weekend.

So, I think I am going to bring my brother on the run, tell our friends they have to have the wedding in Cottonwood, and then spread my wife's uncle's ashes at the top of the mountain.

Enjoy the run.

you need a clone Brice !

who is planning on camping afterwards?

After your post in your CK and rescue thread I can see you won't be camping in the high country.

Last weekend was not a good one with my mom. If I'm not at my trailhead I won't be making it. Might be lucky to do a turn round hauling a cruiser up north. May's is the one I really hoping to make.

Dang Brice, sounds like you need to come as a vacation to get away from everything. ;)

I'm bringing the family up and we will circle back around to the start after lunch and camp up in the pine area. Looking for some down time to hang out and do nothing for a bit.

looks like cool weather and some light showers to (hopefully) keep both the dust and temps down :bounce2:

Wife, camping, rain can be a plus or a minus when added up depending on what you want. While my wife didn't enjoy camping I liked it when she did go a few times. Hunting is a different matter. One year she figured she would come along with me turkey hunting. Fall turkey and had snow and wind so hard the flames from the fire blowing sideways. Cold at night in the tent. That was the first and last time she ever came along hunting. I couldn't have asked for better weather.
