April 29th Run of the month Red Creek

I'm in for this run, but I'll be late to the meeting spot. Have to handoff G-man to Sarah at the gym just before 8. I'll have to catch up to you guys.

Weather is looking great for this run.

Meet up is at the Shell station 8711 E. Pinacle Peak road. There is a general store there and i may arrive early and have breakfast in the restaurant. We will be departing at 0800 sharp.

Great run @Saddletramp! I didn't take any pictures! I hope @Abigail took enough for the both of us! This was my first time getting stuck and needing to be pulled out but I returned the favor later in the day by helping pull an expedition out. Fun day and lots of dirt!

An adventure filled day for sure. We know now what happens when meth tweekers get out on the trail, the poor woman had hardly any teeth. Unfortunately we saw a few different bits of trail damage as John, Alvis, Laurin and Steve all hit a little bit of rock or tree limb. The creek has definitely changed and the water level has been very high, lots of water this time. Even the hole that @murf and @Rudster drove in and out of back in 2014 was now about 4 feet deep and full of water.

It was a perfect day and I'm glad everyone made it home safely.

Nobody made it to the Verde. I didn't take enough pictures, but I've attached my contribution. It was fun seeing the 60s and 88 4Runner on the trail.

While some of us would have made it to the river, the group as a whole would not, without more damage, have been successful. I made the trail leader decision to halt, the rigs had enough punishment for one day.

The weather was perfect and it was quite an eventful trip, including the lengthy rescue of some "interesting" folks. Glad I listened to advice and did not bring my truck! It was fun to ride along, though. Thanks for organizing this, Steve!

Looks like another great run, way to step up Steve. I wish I could have attended, but wife had surgery Friday, so I needed to stick around and make sure the was good to go. I'll get out with the gang soon.
