Sam and I have decided to go out on the 20th, my only completely free weekend this month. We will head out to the LaSalle Pass (near Wilkerson pass) area and explore, I hear there is a hang glider launch out there.

Anyhow, meet at the Western and depart at 8:30.

Use the MARC repeaters driving in and we will switch to simplex when we depart.

Trail Rating

I was wondering about what type of "run" this will be. Do you guys have some sort of trail/run rating?

The reason I ask is my 80 is stock and don't know which runs, if any, would be possible in a stocker. My 80 is my DD, so not looking to cause damage or dents.

I know some of you know by name, what type of terrain it is. I have been dirt biking all over and may know an area by a different name. Like the guys who went to "Penrose" a little while back, I know that area as Brush Hollow (Independence?). I was going to inquire about going on that run, that would have been comical. Luckily I noticed the FJ60 with the 54" tires and figured, not the type of run for me. :flipoff2:

Also, is the rumor true that you pay for the newbs gas on their first run? :ban:

Lol, you'll have to buy your own gas ;) most of the trails you can read about on traildamage.com, they have great write ups and lots of pictures. Don't hesitate to ask though, we won't lead you into a trail you don't feel comfortable with. I haven't been on lasalle pass yet, but I've been in the round mountain area, which is about the same. These trails are very stock friendly, I doubt you'll even need low range. Might be a little muddy with the weather being like it has.

If you guys don't mind a stocker, I'm going to try and make it. (Looks good as of now) Is the "Western" a gas station in Woodland Park?

Not a believer in the weatherman, but are we expecting snow?

Fitzgerald: Oh, you heard the rumor a bit incorrectly. The new guy buys gas for everyone else on their first run.
Of course I can bring my old drum set for your kids, no problem. Hope they can keep a beat, for your sake

Yeah, woodland park western, on the right just before you get to wal-mart. If you look up directions, there is a western in divide as well, you don't want that one.

Sweet, a full tank of gas and a kit for the kids. :rimshot:

Careful what you say about weathermen.... we have one amongst us. :)
A clandestine revolutionary party type?

Maybe both, I don't know his politics. But as far as I can tell, I'm the only left leaning person in a 100 mile radius. :grinpimp:

Oh.. and the kids are excited about going tomorrow, so I'll see you all around 8:30 (man, I'm going to have to get up early!).
