JRob would be ahead of the game just stopping where he is with Toro and buying this one and peeling out.

Lighter is good, but the fun factor of a V8 with an auto is the ticket.

Add to that 40's, D60's and Coilovers....the second one is a better deal. The first one is a $8000 buggy IMO.

Agreed agreed. Just something about being lightweight. That was the ticket for the Bash Buggy, right? Didn't hurt that you have some serious beef in the drivetrain (Atlas) and 60/9 combo.

I think 8 is a fair amount for that first one too... I suggested that to a local friend that is looking at buggy's now.
There's an axle set in Alabama, D60 pass drop and 14bolt rear with gears lockers and discs ready to drop into a project.... I wish I had the funds to buy them, and use them then sell my 80 axles... but I'd need to sell my axles as it is now...

Anyone looking for aussie locked 80 axles? One of the birfs is BRAND new....

Yep, anytime you can shave weight.....

The bash buggy was great because it was built by someone that really knew how to build a well balanced, performing rig too. Just being light won't get it.

I tried the buggy with Marlin Crawlers and a Taco/Alloy rear axle and broke all that. That is what prompted the move to an Atlas and 9"

The 2.7 4cly in the BB was a MUCH higher performing motor than a 22R too.

Yeah, but them 22R's on propane are zero to laugh at... and easy as piss to work on.

8k for the 40 fied mini would be a good deal and well worth it. Depending on how the LT1 was built i would put the my money on 22r for relliablity. When the lt1 gave up the ghost i would swap in an aluminum LSx.V8 40 jusy looks better and is a true 40.

I love what couuld be done to a rolled mini or taco with the 3.4 v6... Hmmmmmm or even a rolled 80!!

What do you think about the geometry of the suspension on the 22R-powered rig, Nolen?

Best part is the color of the rig.. Located in Lewisville, TX which is close to my home.
