Adapter is not too bad when you buy it straight from Marks, harness is from Holley just like the Sniper kit. Using stock 80 radiator. Transmission issue has been solved and what I paid for is actually installed in this 4L80. First 4l80 was straight out of the Junkyard, second was a crap build by a crook that wanted a payday.
So by quick estimation:
Used 6.0 $800
Machine work for cam swap, bowl port etc.
$1200 including XFI Cam/Springs
Properly built 4L80 $1100 including converter
Adapter from Marks with freight $1100
Holley Terminator X Max $1200
Misc parts $1500 (High Estimation)
That leaves me $3900 for extra parts or paying myself $80 for 48.75 hours.
Anything we do to Cruisers is expensive, that’s a given. I will admit keeping the drivetrain all Toyota is cool but other options are plentiful.
