Got a set of 5 new LT34575-16 BFG KM2 $375 each CASH coming in tomorrow.

That's a smoking deal...I had to wait 4 weeks for BFG to build set for me!

Damn. You can buy a whole 60 For $1000

Complete happenstance that I saw this, but in my defense....

Guaranteed split case core $450.00
Rebuild kit with idler $235.00
Labor $400.00

Add a minimum of $90 shipping, and the expense to buy is over the asking price.

Granted, it's an early case with a 34mm idler, but it's priced less than what it'd cost to buy from a reputable shop.

It's what I paid and price is negotiable, as I'd like to get it moved.

While I can appreciate your financial interest in the unit, resale value is what others are willing to pay for an item, not how much an item has invested in it.
I know this, because I have "given" items away that I had invested lots of money into. I'm a terrible business person.

This I understand, probably better than most considering the particular platform chosen to restore.

That said, I had a 70 Series split case that was previously mated to an H55 given to me for free, to install in place of the early case in question.

Shipping $78.00
Rebuild Kit $235.00
Labor $400

$713.00 invested and the core was free, $287 less than the advertised.

For most that are technically proficient and posses mechanical aptitude, still not a bargain and I understand that. My decision to purchase from ACC was based on the guarantee that there wouldn't be multiple cores required to piecemeal one good core together, which does happen, plus the degree of expertise associated with their shop exceeds that of a home built version.

I'm attempting to recoup what someone would pay if they walked through the door of a shop for similar, is the extent and the "OBO" nomenclature was included in the ad.

Hoping for another healthy dose of Cruiser karma to be returned on this, honestly, although I don't know if that's a greedy sentiment considering that the correct case that will mate to the H55 I have, without issue, was given to me for free by a Mudder.

Anyone need a passenger fender for a 40? Came off a 76. Has one crease otherwise in good shape. Asking $60 obo.

I'm in for that rob

Delancy's price is not bad for a ready to bolt in rebuilt unit, especially so since he is including shipping and is flexible on the price. In a different situation I would go that route.

In this case, I've decided to Georgle It! He is going to work his special brand of magic on a case for me and include a little something extra special. Done! Thanks Georg. :)

Realize that this has no bearing on your post and this isn't my club, but since Georg's name was brought up.

All the prices I listed for core, rebuild kit, and labor are straight from Georg who was my first call (text actually) after discovering the case I have listed wouldn't work, on the hunt for a solution.

My purpose in the post.

Georg rocks, period.

Always offers sound advice on whatever debacle I've encountered and always has whatever obscure part/kit necessary, without fail.

The missin' hippie from Mississippi...

My apologies for dragging this out on y'alls thread. It sucks to realize that after many, many months of planning, searching, finding and funding a nonsensical build, that the most mundane mistake was made, which ultimately I'm responsible for, with the price tag this case has and no interest expressed in it, even though the price is fair.

C'est la vie.

What are you building again?

Damn you type a lot....

I will not click on that link.
