I'm joining a buddy at Qualcomm on Sunday for PCA's autox. I know this is totally off topic of what MUD is about, but figured I'd ask if there were any closet sports car enthusiasts in our collective group. Regardless, there are some pretty awesome hunks of metal going around a coned course. So anyone going or interested?

I used to take my AE86 hatch out to the SCCA autocross. A whole lot of fun! When I get it up and running again I might be out there...

I might check it out

A few years ago there was a large group of us who auto crossed our Yaris'. Most of us had modified suspension and sticky tires. It was a hoot! It was also awesome to see the looks we got from others. We weren't very fast in our class, but we always had a good battle amongst ourselves. We used to race over in one of the parking lots at the California Speedway.

I'm a kook on a course, I have lots to learn. My shifting was horrible, my braking was worse. No pics, although there was a photog - next time I'll have my gopro.

The positive was that my car is quicker than a 996 Carrera, just without me driving it!

Really?!?! That's a good tune you have there. I'd like to give this a try but after I put a bigger turbo and brakes on, amongst other things.

I have a GIAC Stage 2 tune with a High pressure fuel pump, down pipe and VWR CAI. GIAC says 360hp and 360ft/lbs at the crank with 91 octane.

I can change the mapping and put race fuel in (107 octane) and get approx 390hp and 380ft/lbs at the crank.

The best thing about this car - I get 30mpg!
