I am thinking about going a little bit overboard with my lights on my '85. I want to get one of the H4 housings and then use a hole saw to cut out the back and put in e45 HID projectors and ballasts. Anyone see any issues with this besides cost? I think it would be awesome to have new technology HID projectors in my '85 toy pickup. I should be able to adjust them just fine with the stock adjustment. Would the autopal lights be a good candidate for this mod?

Any headlight with clear (with no textured/ribbed lense should work). Make sure there's enough space behind the hedlight basket in the back (I'm sure there is though!)

Also, I'm not familiar with the e45 projectors, but if they're not bi-xenon, then you might want to address the high-beam situation by having (if not already) a pair of halogen aux. driving lights to come on when highbeams are supposed to be on.

I'm not sure who it was, but I think there was someone with a LC60 or something else (similar vintage) that did such an install a while ago.

Good luck and keep us posted!
