Anybody have press dies ?

This might be going out on a limb but I was wondering if anyone local might have some dies that I could borrow ? I need to get the bushings out of the control arms of my 80 series. I went to do it the other day but could not get the press to push straight on the arm.

I like to press out the middle, then use a recip saw to cut at noon and 6 and they fall out.

I had not thought about this. Though I would still have the problem of getting the new ones pressed in.

yes i made dies for the front bushings not sure if any are the same in the rear. i used standard press plate triangle deals for the bottom to support the arm these are tubes machined down to grab the lip of the bushings to keep them centered worked very well.

Oops, my bad, I thought you were talking front. I need to slow down.

The new ones on front or rear just need to go flush, so you don't need the same diameter piece. I use a flat piece of steel. No fancy stuff here.

That would be awesome, I got your PM and will try and text or call you sometime in the next week. Maybe I'll see if the misses wants to go to Jack Stacks on the plaza this weekend, that would give me a good excuse to come get some press dies.
