If you guys are planning on showing up I will be meeting up with calfj60 at 8:00am at his shop. PM him or me for the address. So far it is me and ScottyDog.

Who else is coming? I need to know how many drinks to bring in the cooler and how many doughnuts I should bring. I'll order some pizza for us for lunch.

Kids play and the :princess: working on weekends pretty much takes it for me, but you are welcome to come by and pick-up jack-stands and the drill bits if you are doing LandTank carsters while you are at it.

Wife just informed me that she has tp go into work. This means I will have my 9 yr old and 2.5 yr old with me in the AM and have to pick up my 4 month old from the inlaws around 12pm. Still ok stop by with my goof troop to say hello?

Ok... this is the last suspension I ever work on....:hillbilly:

How did it turn out Brett? I woke up @ 4:30 this morning to an extremely sore and stiff body....

Can you take some pictures of the front springs installed? I want to compare.

Good meeting you guys yesterday. Where are the pics? My forearms , back and thighs are sore this morning.

Oh man, I am in pain today! I can't thank you guys enough. I am so appreciative of all the help. It goes without saying if you guys need anything I am there. Tim, you the man.

It drives great with a centered steering wheel. It brakes real good. :D Suspension is smooth and controlled. Really digging it. I had to cut the front bumper corners to fit the tires in there. I'm sure there is some more trimming needed as I have not stuffed them yet. Need to do the panhard DIY joints and the rear LCA's.

So I just jumped outside and took a couple pics. Sorry for the dirty truck.

Looks great... And if you need anything else give me a shout sorry I wasn't able to help more..

Kovsky,
Your rig looks sick with the FJ rims all blacked out. You gotta love the way it changes the look of you rig. Did you end up with 37s and did you use 1 1/2" spacers? You'll have to update on how the 37s rub when wheelin' and how much it affects the way it drives on stock gears. More pics please!

Thanks, yeah those are the KM2 37's on there (actually 36.6") and I used those 1.5" spacers you pointed out.

Love the look of the black FJ's on 37's. Now I have to go scratch them all up on the rocks. :hillbilly:

Trust me, if you go in the rocks, you will rash them up because the spokes on these rims sit out so much. I just keep an extra can of paint handy and touch them up often. I hope you rattle canned them and not powdercoated. On a side note, where did you pick up the tires and how much if you don't mind. I will need news tires soon and I'm pretty tempted to move up to the 37s.

I just bought 5 37" KM2s for $2000 after mounting and balancing. Then 2 days later I got a PM from a guy on Pirate that offered all 5 for $1875 shipped. Oh well.

I paid 375 each shipped. The guy took about 8-9 days to ship them out though. Balancing and stems were another 20 each so 1975 total.

I rattle canned them knowing I'd be scratching them up. No worries there.

As far as the gearing goes it is definitely slower but not horrible. I need to get the speedo corrected for sure. I can imagine steep mountains being a PITA without gears though. For now I am living with it.

Are the top few of coils on the front springs touching? Is that normal? Mine do the same thing. IIRC, the OMEs didn't do that.

The top 4-5 winds do on mine, they are the progressive rate design - closer winds to handle softer ride on road and progress to a wider wind to giving the stiffness you need during hard braking/turning/running over big rocks.:steer:

kovsky - all that work paid off - that's looking very nice...you guys had it easy with the power-tools and the that lift...it's  time

If you rub let me know if you want to go higher. I may be comming down from 5" to 3". Rig looks sick bro. Glad Tim and Scotty were able to fix the "stripped" issue.
