Was recommended by caz to post here for any advice on a reputable/ experienced Land Cruiser shop around NE PA. Looking just to fine tune a 7/69 FJ40. Thanks for any advice. Brendon

Sorry to have recommend you come over here and no one responds!

There really are not a lot of shops in the area that are familiar with Cruisers.

Where are you located? The most local reference would be John Merkey - located north of Lancaster. He is not on the board here but his son Craig is on here frequently.

Depending on location I am sure that someone on here could help you give it a tune up if that is all you need.

CAZ, Thanks again for the link. As long as I have been a member of MUD, I didn't know this section was here:doh:. I am located up in the Pocono's. Lancaster would be a bit far for me, but I never rule out anything. :cheers:Brendon

Welcome!

Dad definitely could help you out if you can't find anyone closer! Gary is another good guy to know here too!

I am currently working (now slower as the summer gets closer and work gets busier) on a Cruiser. See Christmas vacation thread.

Good to have you joining us here!
Craig

Thanks for the welcome and the info, I appreciate it.

Come to the CMCC!

Come to Coal Mine at Rausch Creek in July and bring tune up parts with you. I am sure that you can find the help that you need - or at least someone to point you in the right direction.

I recently went through some troubles with my 40 - finally got it running well. I feel your pain!

What is it that your truck is doing (or not doing)?

Brendon, I bought a boat last year in your area.

I have been wanting to get out to CMCC for the last two years. I am going to make an extra effort this year. I am looking forward to meeting fellow Cruisermen. Not to far from where we are over in the Pocono's, maybe I'll give the 'ol girl a road trip:steer:. Who is the contact? I see that the Gotham City Cruiser Club is the sponser. I was going to email Mark, but I wasn't sure if the PA guys were eligible to join their club. I was not aware PA has a chapter/club. Thanks again for the warm welcome. Brendon

Bob, we exchanged a few PM's a few years back. Did you get your carb issue straightened out? I think I remember you were thinking of throwing in the towel on your project, or were you able to get it running?

I always just show up - then worry about registering. I have not had a truck to take on the trails for a few years though....

I usually just catch a ride with someone else - and bash their truck into rocks (sorry Dan!).

Not to worry, Andy. Most of it smoothed right out. Don't think I'll ever forget that look on your face, though!

By all means, Brendon, get your butt down to CMCC.
