Just basic questions really. I'm prepping my rig for primer and such, and the paint scheme I'm planning on is this color white with a black hood and black roof. I need to fabricate my front and rear bumpers still too, as well as the roof rack and ladder. A friend linked me this photo and I was hoping to find the owner here so I could chat about some of that stuff. If you're in the know I'd love to bounce some questions off you.

Is it sunny in your area? Where do you live? My darn piggy has a black roof or I should say had a black roof. With some sunshine the roof was a skillet! I left the border of it black and painted the center white.....next I need to tint the windows to further aide in lowering interior temps in the hot summer.

Sunny...not so much I live near Portland, OR. For us a 'sunny day' is bright gray

I think there is a reason Toyota made the roof caps on 40's white!

I would also recomend some insulation on the underside of the roof if your headliner is out.

Yeah, I've had a lot of people recommend the insulation. I've read pretty extensively on that thread. It sure seems there are a couple really good options...and a LOT of horrible ones! I'd hate to go through all that work, just to have it fall/peel off after a couple of summer days. I have a new headliner in a box, but am still debating what I do with the ceiling. Too many options gives me paralysis through analysis sometimes
