I’ve not purchased a new car since 2000 but went to dealer today to test drive the 250. I’ve got choice between black or meteor shower. I was surprised how much I liked the ride. Tomorrow, I will take the 40 in to see how much they’ll give me on a trade lol. Opened the hood and have no idea how it works.

Yeah, when I'm picking up parts in the 40 there's always a salesman that comes over to see my "Jeep"

When I had my 40 in for the annual safety inspection, years ago, the Squiffy Lube guy walked up and said, "I had no idea Chevy made Jeeps!". It was exactly then that I knew he had reached his career pinnacle.

Of course, this might have thrown him off...

Lol. Hey Mr Real Land Cruiser, don't you have another subforum to go to? It's listed right above this 250 one on the homepage 😉

Mean Green, looking good, I have the same matched pair.
Yeah, it even was just a LX570…

You should go to Delta compound at Ft. Bragg and ask those guys how it feels to be a station wagon captain… 🤣 😆 😂

I have a family member who has the 2.8L diesel in Dubai and he said the difference between it and the US gas version is strikingly different ( in a good way)

Idk why, but you strike me as a 5th Gen 4Runner kinda guy. Like… a ditch light + widdle wadder sorta dude.
And here, in its natural habitat, we find another elusive Station Wagon 'muh real Land Cruiser' owner. Majestic and unshaken, it clings to the belief that its luxury SUV is the one and only 'REAL Land Cruiser' over all others. A fascinating display of conviction as he beasts his chest, 'muh real Land Cruiser, muh real Land Cruiser

Yep, I knew it! 😂

Yep, the 200 and now 300 series are the real deal.

And so, the Station Wagon owners persist. Like stubborn creatures, blind to their own reflection, they continue to cling to their luxury Station Wagons, calling them the 'real Land Cruiser,' ignoring the existence of Light Duty and Heavy Duty Land Cruisers. A truly remarkable, if pitiful, display of prideful ignorance. The moral of the story? They’re ALL real Land Cruisers even the Station Wagon.

There is nothing wrong with the Prado, I think it is great for what it is. Just love poking that hornest of Wannabe LC owners.

A Cayman just does not suddenly become a 911

A Ranger not a F150

And so the 250 series is the 150 follow up. For those who know it will always be a Prado.

If it was a 911 Cayman it would be a 911.
If it was a F150 Ranger it would be a F150.
The Land Cruiser Prado is a Land Cruiser.
Alright dude. So the rest of the world would get the real 911 and now the relabeled Cayman in the US is a 911. That would be beyond rediculous. And that is what Toyota marketing is trying to do. It is a Prado in all its goodness, never is a Land Cruiser for those who know.

I would say prideful ignorance is claiming you have a Land Cruiser and in fact it is 250 series Prado. But who cares whether I and many think it is not a real Land Cruiser. Did I hurt you pride honey?

Actually, I was/am, but need to test drive it. Various reasons: V6 NA, to start. Flat sleepping inside. If it was what a Pilot was, great space inside. 3rd AC zone. I know it is not made in japan, but Honda are actually good, unless things have chagned latelty. And a few more. I know it is not body on frame but for hard rock clibming, my LC80 wouild do just fine lol.

Anybody considering this at current $51k? Got a NA V6 and probably pretty good durability given it is a Honda. I know it is not a body on frame, pretty impressive though.

No, can you please share? I thought this V6's were actually pretty good. Thank you for sharing !!!
Are you aware of the persistent issue with ECO mode in Honda V6 engines?
