I agree with the asking-parents-if-they-have-regrets part, but disagree with the comparing-to-a-200 part (to beat this dead horse for the 9000th time).
It's just not true. Everyone who has bought a 250 could have bought a 200 for the same money, lack of 200 availability aside.
All of those people decided they wanted a 250 more than a 200 for whatever their personal criteria was, and therefore, to them, the 250 is better than the 200.
Some of us already have a 200, maybe 2, and so we wanted to add a 250 to the family. I love both, all these children the same 😁.

I have had a 200 and still have my 470, but so far really love this 250. I don't think one is better really. Just very different. I'll say I truly enjoy driving the 250 over the 470, at least at the moment. Maybe this will change in a few more months, but the 250 just drives modern, and it is really easy and fun to drive. Not sure how else to put it.

It is a good thing you never had or drove the 200 (I am assuming) or you would feel lacking much more.
I really didn’t like the size of the 200. The 100 always felt underpowered but the 120 felt like a good balance. I’m really enjoying the 250 though.

^This. While I never owned a 200 I never really wanted one. When I choose to re-power my 80 I could have bought a 200. And while a good local offer for a 200 was on the table I choose to rebuild and boost my 1FZ. Fast forward 6 years I opted for the 250. I like what it offers over the 200 for my needs. The 80-Series is still in the stable and I still enjoy driving it very much.

Well, the above messages surely prove the point of asking parents about regret. The only thing I know is that every time I stop at a redlight with my 200HE next to a 250 Prado, I feel eyes all over me and I suspect it is not because of my (non-existent) good looks.

Land Cruiser people like to look at Land Cruisers.

Every time I stop at a stoplight and a 200, 100, or 80 pulls alongside me, it comes up slow and stops about a half car-length back so it can stare at my 250.

No regrets except for safety buzzers as said before. Best fuel mileage of our previous 5 LC's! at least so far. Can't tow any heavy stuff is an aggravation.

Exactly. They are also probably humble and do not want to flex over your PRADO 250.

I'm sure that's it. I bet they go on forums and type Prado in all caps, too.
