I will get the videos uploaded soon, it should tell the story.

Cliff notes on the axle......393W-low-low and 30 spline dana 60 rear on left line. Made it up the rock 3 different lines and tried the left and it broke.

CJ lost a 16.5 tire, little gas and it was back on. Oh, he broke a driver door and window too.

Not seen is a broken Ford 9" on a full size Bronco.

fixed for ya.

Daaaannnngggg!!! Got 'em.

You sure your just not butt hurt because the little ole yota axle shafts are the same size as that D60 of yours that broke?? And the fronts.....hhhmmmm, buy a $800 or so d60 front, or buy a set of $600 chromo shafts for the yota fronts and run them like a mad man......besides, the yotas are smaller rigs, they don't need alot of power. The guy I bought my 3 link rear from ran 42's on it, and it's just a little ole toyota rearend....:grinpimp:

That's why I ended up not going 1 tons. Why pay all that money for a stockfront end, when I can spend less on moly's and it will be just as strong......

I would definately get rid of the rear 60, shafts are too small for all the weight your carrying on that big rig. I talked to Mike the other day, I think he said you had a 14 bolt laying around?? If you break a 14 bolt, I'll be impressed for sure.

I did not see any T****otas up there, you guys seem to do a lot of talking but I have yet to see a T****ota run this trail with out help. I guess you can all sit around and run your mouths because that is easy. If T****ota axles are so strong why are T****ota guys looking for 60/14 to run. :flipoff2:

??? 2 toyotas climbed that rock without help, my 40 and johns mini(and there is video to prove that). And my motor was 300K plus and worn out!! I'm not saying 1 tons aren't strong by any means, or that they aren't wanted......just that yota stuff is built strong as hell for their size. Anyways, both of yall's rigs aren't *eeps anymore. Your running a complete chevy drivetrain front to back. There never were any strong axles that came from the *eep line. The J20 D60's are the small shaft versions and offset(who wants those???), and they only came with the 44 fronts, that are weak as hell.

If you want a real comparison between *eeps and Toyota, take a YJ and a FJ40, keeping stock axles(d30 front/d35 rear and toyota/toyota), put them on 35's and there is no comparison....PERIOD. :flipoff2:

If your out and about this evening, swing by the house in your rig. I wanna check out those pit bull rockers up close. And I'd like to check out your fuel system. I picked up my fuel cell last night and I need to look at 1 like yours.

That is until you break the front or rear pinion...

That is the achilles heel of LC diffs. While I agree that toyota diffs are strong, 42's are going to be stressing that rear 7.8" (actual measurement of ring gear on your rear third). Again, the ring and pinion are your weak point on both front and rear axles.

I have seen, watched and experienced toyota diffs take a tremendous beating, but a built one ton axle they are not.

30 spline vs. 35 spline is a big difference. This has been beat to death on PBB, one tons are more better. Toyota's can be built initially cheaper, but there is a limit and only so far you can take them, whereas 60's have a ton more potential and strength.

Sorry,;)

I do agree that 30 spline 60's aren't much to brag about, they were designed to carry weight not deal with HP, lockers and big tires. It seems that toyota 30 splines axles are stronger than Dana 30 spline axles, plus they make a different sound when they break.

I'll shut up now.

Well being as i9 started this ill finish it ill take my Yota any day and walk up that rock with no help and leave you sitting there waiting to be towed i watched a stock 40 with a welded rear and a lifted mini with a welded rear and stock axles on both walk that rock no issues and no help so you can say all you want about our Yota's but truth is we stronger stock than Jeeps ever thought of being. now that being said im not saying your Jeep isnt a capable rig all im saying is Yota's are stronger stock by far and yes ill take my Yota the way it is and follow you anyday and when you cant go anyfarhter ill just smile and wave ROFL

BTW dont take this so serious im teasing you so have Fun and Enjoy Wheeling thats what we all are out here for

No need to be sorry, that was kinda my point. For bang for the buck tough axles, toyotas are the way to go. I wasn't saying that a built 35 spline is weaker....BY ANY MEANS!!! The 42's are going to be used for the build and for snow wheeling. I'm going to grab up a set of krawler or maxxis creepy 40's....stickies!!!!:grinpimp:

I just realized that videos were posted....I love the sounds of the water up there, makes it that much cooler!!!

I really like Fruit of the Loom, BVD's always seem to bind in the wrong places. Plus I heard guys who wear BVD's are a little light in the loafers. But that's just rumor.

Drive what you like, I'll see you on the trail.

nothing to get butt hurt about, IFS sucks, that's why we put a 60 solid under mine, and I haven't broke it yet, not for lack of trying.
