Hi guys, Please bear with me for another price question. I found a nearly perfect 91 that probably has never been on a gravel road. Perfect body, paint, interior perfect, newer radiator, alternator. The car is spotless inside and out. It doesnt even leak. The front dif probably hasnt been done but isnt leaking like so many that I have seen. Two owners. 150k, price $7800. Thats come down from asking.

Thanks!

$8K? dont FJ80's w/150k go for much less than that these days? cant you step into a 93-94 for about that price?

Don't know what market your looking at but you should be able to get a 93-94 for same money with same miles...I'd keep looking.

I think he wants so much for it because it is so clean. The wheel wells, frame rails, underbody looks almost new. He doesnt even drive it in the rain!

That is a little pricey for the 91 right now w/ the mileage and condition you describe. I think no more than 6K would be more like it. Get a carfax and check any maintenance records ....

91-92 LC's are a little underpowered but very reliable and do not come with alot of the quirky/problematic and expensive maintenance issues like the 93-97 LC's have. (eg. head gasket failures, phh's, timing chains etc....). If I was looking for a 93-94 LC with that comparable mileage and condition and the HG and/or phh had not been replaced, I would not pay more for that LC than a comparable 91 or 92.......

Sounds high to me as well. Clean is only worth so much IMO...

I like clean, and I love my 91.

Make the best deal you can and get it if you really like it; you might be paying a bit of a premium, but it won't bother you if you really feel you got something special.

Good luck either way,

Curtis

Should be $5-6k around here.

do not let a good detail job and pressure washing tkae more money out of your pocket than needs to.

with the exception of northern vehicles the undercairrage of any of these LC's can look band new with a good cleaning.

Wrong forum to ask about 80 series price, everyone here thinks they should be free. I've yet to see anyone post a price that hasn't been too high to this group. In the end - what is it worth to you?

Bought a '91 Monday

PERFECT condition, new tires, CD, power windows/locks, grill guard etc.. 172k on the clock.

$3400 in tejas

Good luck.
