Just read your whole thread... Well done Sir! Welcome to Texas. [I'm just over in the Mexia area. Can't wait to get mine restored yous is an inspiration.

Thanks man, it has been a fun journey! Hope yours is just as thrilling as mine was.

On another note I have spent the better part of the afternoon tracing wires and running the test light to find the tail light marker culprit. :bang: BUT, I have good news and all in all a successful day. I tested the marker light wire from the fuse panel to just about between the doors in the run. There was approx. a 2" spot in the wire that had become brittle, cracked and I assume finally gave up the connectivity ghost..... Cut the wire back to good copper and insulation and Marley now has rear tail, marker, and license plate lights again. WOOHOO!!!

So, now I can enjoy the night aspect of east Texas as well as the day time now.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

How's the new job treating you?

I-man, It's going well just extremely busy. Getting to take Marley to work in the field a few days a week.

Found a FJ62 today that might become a new member of the family....:grinpimp: all original, no rust and clean interior.

Hope all is well with you and the 4BT Monster... Looking good on that build BTW.

Holy Hey-soos, another one?!

Yes, I will probably end up giving it to my daughter... MAYBE!?!?!... For 1800.00 it is hard to say "NO" to that cruiser, especially when the wife says, OK!

However, the Dodge's water pump went out in the driveway this morning, yes better than going down the highway 100 miles from the house.. So, Marley and I had an adventure of 268 miles today together. No problems at all... 12 MPG and enjoyed ever mile.

You can never have too many !!!!! :grinpimp:

Pete my man... How has it been going. Yes, you are SO RIGHT!.. I plan on getting it this weekend. The guy that has it is going through a hard time and needs to sell it badly. He originally was asking 4500.00 and has come down to 1800.00 now. I feel bad for the guy but.... I'll take it off his hands for that for sure.

However, a PIG is still wanted badly.. But, I'm still being patient for the right one to come along. I've looked at a few... Nothing yet though.

How's work and the projects coming along.

I understand, I am still thinking about a 4BT but, kinda hard for me to to pull a good running 2F.. If it was in the garage it might be a different story HA!..

Well stay safe and warm.. :grinpimp: This Texas weather is much too warm for us. Been acclimated to the higher altitude and colder weather for TOO LONG!

I have a pig, see sig. I am very happy with it. Needs some work, but what Cruiser doesn't ? :)

Merry Christmas J! Hope all is going well and that the family has finally gotten settled with you in Texas.
It is turning out to be a "Cruiser Christmas" for me as the wife picked up some Punch 6.5" for the front doors and marine vinyl and mdf to redo the rear panels!

You used 1/4" MDF for the panels, do you feel they flex much at all? I was looking the other day and 1/4" just seemed way to flexy.

And I agree with Trapper, we need som pics of Marley out in the wild!

Merry Christmas All...

G, yes I used the 1/4" MDF for the rear panels. It is very rigid once you cut it down to the appropriate size.

We are getting along well in east Texas. Marley got a new exhaust pipe last week along with Christmas horns and rebuilt locking hubs from the wife.

I need to get some "in the wild" shots of Marley. However, these will do for now. Will post up a few pics when all is installed. I also cut Marley's rack down this week as well. Couldn't get her in the garage, HA!.. So, I need to get that back on in the next few days as well.

Cheers to all and be safe.
