Got a bit of set up of the trans tunnelStarting to prep, fill holes from previous trans stick holes getting ready to extend the length of the tunnel. Will keep you in the loop as it comes.
Here we have the top bed rail and I am filling the unwanted holes. Before welding I put a small slug which will help in keeping the warpage to a minimum and slow and go I move forward. For you that follow my 35 build I am doing the same thing, 2 birds with one stone.Got a bit of set up of the trans tunnel

Ron just sent me a pic of the engineering of the pullies and placement of the fan. He is genius of With his skills to adapt the 606 Mercedes engine to the toyota and be able to keep it cool for those slow and pulling situations while Keeping the 606 cool. No aircondlting on the 45 but the 35 will be a different situation. Head on Ron you are the master.Hi Peeps

Back up in Idaho working on the bed but in the between time I set the seats in to get an idea of fitment. Looks like I will need to narrow the passengers side to allow for the triple sticks and 5 speed shifter. Wanted to keep the stock 45 look in seats so more Fabing
Back to the radiator working on multiple things at once, bed is coming along will have some pics later today.Back up in Idaho working on the bed but in the between time I set the seats in to get an idea of fitment. Also started the assembly of the bed that the top bed rails go on should finish the bed side panels and floor and off to Cali on Saturday. Was a pleasure to help Ron with the assembly this week. The bed will be mostly done so he can start on the other body sheet metal work.Did a bit of sandblasting for the bed assembly sure makes things clean smooth and easy to assemble.

Been multi tasking working mainly on getting all the nuts and bolts, headlights ready for the plater. Most of the stuff is being bead blasted it makes it come out much better but time consuming. Additionally the same for all the little stuff that needs to go to powder Coating. Finally my T-3 spacer came in today that I had machined. The new alternator bracket got in the way so I needed to move the turboIt is 7:30 Friday night and I am getting ready to go to be and get up at 3am Saturday in preparation to go on my 15 hour trip back to Cali, ugg. TNx for the heads up I would of never guessed that would happen.Learn from my experience and don't. Diesel fuel and zinc plating do not get along together. I just had to pull my filler neck and sandblast the heavy rust and remaining plating out and use POR15 for gas tanks to seal the inside of the fuel filler neck. The rust started in the first month of use.
