Well I got the old one off and now I see the pulley is much smaller on my rebuilt Denso unit. Wondering if I should swap pulleys
 
Can confirm that you can remove and install the alternator without removing the fan shroud or radiator hoses. I just installed a high output Alternator from Autotech Engineering today.

I did have access to a lift however and I removed the front right wheel and the plastic piece that separates the engine bay from the wheel well. You also have to take out the studs that holds the power steering pump in place and move it to the side.

I used a 2230mm belt with the smaller pulley and it fit perfect. Added a 0 gauge power cable with a 300A circuit breaker.
