Hey guys! Newer member here, my name is Danny (I_is_dannytx for IG) and I work at Findlay Toyota in Flagstaff. One of the master techs and myself here are planning a run to do the Alpine Loop in Colorado the weekend of September 24th if anyone is interested. Planning to start in Silverton and end the trip in Telluride. Feel free to message me here or on my instagram if you're up for it. Have a good one everybody!

Sounds like a nice trip. Please share pictures when you get back.

Just planning that weekend only, doing as many trails as I can manage during that time. Sadly can't get out of work Monday to explore more.
So leaving Friday coming back Sunday? Would definitely be interested so long as i am not traveling that weekend. It's on my bucket list.

This is a bucket list trip for me as well. I would want to do this as a longer trip though. Driving a 3fe powered 80 removes this as a weekend trip. :(

It is the fun way, and after growing up listening to CW Mcall I have to drive that road.

If you have not done it you need to but chances are when its over you questioning all the difficulty hype. With that said the views are spectacular.

just did black bear with the 200s. raining..views were still impressive. Ouray is amazing. the switchbacks coming into Telluride are a little white knuckle, but not worth the hype.
