The Rat rocks! ;)

On the pre-run Agent Orange hung with me and Kevin just fine through rivers, swamps and bogs. I did not think about just how much easier it was to get the double locked, geared V8 powered rigs with 40 inch boggers through swamps and bogs and slippery hills than it is in a sua '42 with one locker and 35 inch swampers. Until I got behind the wheel of O and had to remember how to finess things instead of pointing and shooting.

But I still throw a bigger splash. ;)

Mark...

Ratpuke is hand down the best all around driver I have ever wheeled with.

Agent Orange had no problems going where the other rigs went even though Agent Orange is a "Low Rider".

Note:
Agent Orange is a pretty extreme build HJ43 on 35"s that anybody in the lower 48 would be very happy to own and wheel. It just looks small in the pics.

LOL

Dan, apparently your drive really messed with your head! Thanks for the kind words.... ;) FYI, Agent O is an 81 BJ42 w/ a 13BT.

LMAO! Yes, yes you do throw a bigger splash! I'll upload photos to prove it too once I get unpacked and back online at home.

I had a trip of a lifetime. My trips to AK get better and better and I can only imagine the fun future ones will provide. :);)

Thank you to every one who helped me get O ready for the trip and for those who helped make the trip one for the memory books. I'll post up more in the days to come.... Right now I have to go unpack. Curtis, Prado and I got home early this morning after driving straight through from Wasilla.

Tired but oh so happy,

Charla

Wow! Looks like an amazing and epic adventure and a wet one! Mark & the Alaska Cruiser Crew totally rock! I still think about the ACT '06 daily--a life changing experience~~

I didn't include any pictures which may "depict one in an unusual situation". Thought I would send those photographed a copy and let them do with it what they wish. Unless, of course they pi$$ me off! LOL!

The Alaskan Mosquito.

Yes, that is an American Dime for size reference. :D

You now know why the mosquito is the state bird lol. The 6 months i lived up there I used the 100% deet stuff and never got bit.

Teaser Pics

Well, I managed to sort through my photos tonight and I selected a few to share with you. Enjoy... (please don't fault me for my shameless plugging of my 42 :) )

Here we've got some custom made windchimes and flower pots on display at the Cruisers Only shop. (yes, yes, you told me you'd do it)... followed by my stunting attempt made within the first 29 minutes being offroad with Mark and Kevin during the pre run (yes, it's true, I bowed to the requirements of having a locker as per Mark's demand).

Next.... we've got some scenery from the Pre-Run, more shameless plugging of a particular 42 and a shot of Mark's rig down on the Gakona River.

We lucked out and had beautiful weather during the pre run (unlike the days spent on the official ACT 2010 run).

- D'Animal has an interesting way of washing his headlights (I'm not convinced it'll work).
- Mark is still a flashy guy.
- Just some scenery taken in during one of our hikes.

The Rat just posted an almost exact copy of one I wanted to put up. Probably standing two foot from me and snapping it at the same time. :) Anyway, here is another instead... this was during out pre-run as we approached the moraine of the Gakona Glacier to skirt around it in search of the old Army Telegraph Road to Lower Slate Creek.

- Lunch break.
- We camped in some of the most beautiful places during ACT. :)

- Poor poor Tina. John Brasier's truck got slapped upside the face a couple of times by 2 broken straps.
- Yet another beautiful camp spot.
- Agent O hauls Puny Girl back to the lovely location known to man kind as Mentasta. Gawd how I love the local men there. ;)
