Hello All,

I have a 2011 LX 570 with approximately 205,000 miles. The vehicle has been well maintained overall.

I am currently dealing with an AHC fluid leak and am looking for help confirming the exact source and identifying the correct replacement part number.

Based on my inspection, the leak appears to be on the driver-side rear, just above the rear axle. I initially believed it was coming from a small line in that area and have included photos for reference. I am fairly confident the leak is coming from the line I am pointing to, although it was difficult to confirm because fluid began leaking rapidly once it started.

While the vehicle was parked in the garage with both rear wheels removed, I cycled the suspension (raising and lowering) and did not observe any leaks. However, once I backed the vehicle out, fluid leaked significantly onto the driveway. At the same time, I received an “AHC system” warning message on the dash.

Can anyone help confirm:
  1. Whether the line I am pointing to is part of the AHC system
  2. If this is a common failure point
  3. The correct part number for the replacement line

Any guidance is appreciated

Chat GPT was all over the place with this one. I am pretty sure it was the line in Photo 2 and 4 but I have been wrong more times than I have been right.

Thanks

Highly recommended to park it until the leak source is fixed. You don’t want to burn out the pump.

Also LLMs are worthless for vehicle diagnostics. They can only be as accurate as the s*** they read online..

Make sure you are refilling the reservoir, the pump going out is no joke. I had a similar but slower leak on the passenger side. It was replaced under xrended warranty, thank goodness cause the parts are $$. Just make sure to keep the system full when testing like someone mentioned. I had a pump failure (though not due to low fluid) and that is a repair bill no one except a dealer wants to see.

If you cannot pinpoint the leak then see if you have a competent dealer or mechanic with AHC experience who can. The reason I say that is the lines are very expensive so you don't want to just be replacing with the "parts cannon"

This the best place have found for AHC fluid, Genuine Official Toyota AHC Suspension Fluid part# 08886-01805 for Ourisman Toyota Parts | Official Toyota Online Parts Store
Shipping si a bit pricey but still less expensive then most places on ebay. My local toyota dealers won't sell it, they told me "it's not for sale" to the public.
