My thoughts on the passenger switch is to mount next to the drivers switch. That way you have them both in quick reach.

Hey Dan. Thanks! Ideally I'd like them side-by-side, but knowing my wife I'd be turning it off and on as often as I shift: "my bum's hot, turn it off. I'm cold, turn it on. My bum's hot, turn it off. I'm cold, turn it on....." You get the idea.
