Got a top this morning.

That's one way to secure the rear hatch.

Combined an early air cleaner housing that was rusted out with a later style one. Just need some sealer and paint and it's good to go.

Got the air cleaner housing all painted up. Made some straps to hold the gas tank. It's a little newer tank adapted to the early Cruiser tub.

Got the seat rack done. It bolts in just like the stock bench. It also uses the lap belts out of the 55.

Went to the desert last night for some R & R. Cruised down to the creek this morning to see the flow. Spring is great here in AZ.

Power brakes are overrated.

Sprayed some Lizard Skin down. I had some leftover from when I did my LV floor.

Wow. That looks great. Is that sprayed in, brushed, or rolled? Who makes it?

It's sprayed in. Pretty sure it's made by Lizard Skin. There's a sound deadening layer and a separate heat layer. Stuff is awesome to work with. Dries fast, no fumes, and cleans up with water. I had good results in the wagon so I figured use the leftovers on the 40.
I do plan to top coat it with the tan paint like the rest of the build.

Painted the trans tunnel which also got the Lizard Skin. Then sprayed the bottom of the gas tank with some undercoating.

While changing the diff juice, I swapped in Marlins fancy pinion seals, new pinion nuts and some new drain plugs. Also changed the fluid in the trans and tcase. Gotta love playing with gear oil all morning.
Got the filler neck installed but still need a couple of the right size hose clamps. Even put on a new oem gas cap.
Then did some more painting.
