This is the very first prototype Overland Teardrop created by Adventure Trailers. The body was made by SoCal Teardrops, while the chassis, suspension, and outfitting was done by Adventure Trailers in 2009. At 48” wide, it is smaller than the production versions. Its smaller size and its 35” tires with have led Adventure Trailers to declare it to be “the most capable offroad teardrop trailer in the world.”

Its features make camping easy – just hook it up and go!

Independent trailing arm airbag suspension was completely updated to the latest version by Adventure Trailers in 2014. The air pressures can be adjusted to level the trailer for your sleeping comfort.

Multi-axis coupler means no matter how off –camber or twisted you get, it won’t unhook from your tow vehicle.

35” BFG mud terrain tires with around 5,000 miles on them.

Two brand new jerry cans for extra fuel. I just replaced them and they are unused.

Deep cycle battery powers:
LED lights throughout
Built-in stereo
Engle refrigerator on pull-out slides
Water pump
Extra 12 volt connections for your devices

Partner 2-burner stove powered by attached propane tank.

19 gallon water tank with pump and spray hose.

Plenty of storage drawers for cooking utensils, plates, cups, silverware, etc.

6 foot Fama retractable awning mounted on a Yakima roof rack.

With its foam mattress and hard-sided enclosure, you will never sleep better on a camping trip.

We are selling it because the kids are grown and we just haven’t used it lately. Being a 2009 trailer and having been on trips and used as a promotional display, it is not in mint condition. You could see this as a plus, since you don’t want things to be too precious on offroad excursions. However it still looks really good, works as it should, and will get commented on everywhere you go.

Sooo...how much?

According to the label:
GVVR = 2,700 lbs
GAVR = 3,500 lbs
My tow vehicle is a V6 4Runner with 5,000lb tow limit, and most of
the time you don’t even notice it’s there.
