kinda old but question about the housing for the pre-filters. they have for openings, 2 ins and two outs. can you use the in and out on one side and block the two on the opposite side? or does it have to run across? im replacing my sedimenter on my 82 hj47 that is usually on the frame rail (it got smacked and is leaking now) hoping to put it in the engine bay, but if i can run the lines on one side of it it might make it easier to fit.

thanks

Yep. no issues, this is exactly what I did in my HJ47.. in and out, same side. The other side has the blanking plugs in.

Bottom left of photo.. attached to rear of intake manifold..

haha awesome. i dont remember seeing those two perfectly situated bolt holes in my manifold, but since there the same car I assume they are there. ill be mounting mine just like yours :) thanks so much. perfect answer to my question, with a bonus location to put it hahaha. nice.

They will be there.. but if you have Superglow still fitted, they'll be occupied by the two Superglow Resistors.. My glow setup is directly to the Glow Plug Rail - no resistors so they were conveniently available.

took a look at mine today. there is nothing there in mine, only one of those chunks has a threaded hole, the other one is blank. do yo know if I could drill and tap that chunk? the hole-less chunk is the one to the right. the one on the left has a thread hole in it already.

You could.. drill and tap, but there's other options too

I've seen a few people use the two mounting bolts for the factory fuel filter housing to offset a custom made bracket to hold the secondary filter above the injection pump.

Ok, thank you for that. ill explore my options, now that I know i can use the same side ports :) i would rather not tap and drill my manifold if Idont have to :)
