ABS/BRAKE lights and loss of brake

Have you timed your pump yet after you have pumped the brakes to depressurize? Is your pedal going to the floor or just lowers? How frequent does your pump cycle after building pressure and applying the brakes.

Master Cylinder or Accumalator is what I am thinking but it is hard to say when you don’t see the vehicle first hand.

Ps. Did you bleed the brakes how @2001LC explained. I have taken it for granted that you did, if not I would follow his procedure to the letter. Hope it works out for you.

The leak can be internal, in the accumalator or the abs unit. Have you looked to see if any fluid is present at the master cylinder, pop your head under the dashboard and check, you might have to pull a cover back.

It is normal to lose the pressure and the pedal to drop, but it doesn’t go to the floor, you just get non assisted brakes. So the brakes should work, just the pedal does go lower.

I just want to thank you first for your time in helping. Good to know that its a normal thing to lose pressure when you pump the pedal with the engine off. I will check everything again as you have suggested. Thank you
