Eric goes in for the second shunt in the morning. Pray that this one isn't infected with mold. I'll update tomorrow or Thursday whenever I can reach his mom with an update from the hospital.

Talked with Eric's mom a little while ago and the surgery went as planned. He had a Cat Scan done this afternoon and they were to meet with the doctor about that either late today or in the morning and he should know then when he gets to come home. He may be home as early as Friday-well he may be out the hospital by then. I believe he's gonna spend some time at his mom's house before coming back to Auburn full time.

Eric did not get to come home today-but he is expected to go home with his mom and brother tomorrow to Brundidge. He'll stay with his mom for a while before he's back in Auburn. He's gonna be on some pretty potent medicine for about another month, so he's still gonna feel lousy for a while. It may also be several months before he's back to the same ole Eric that everyone knows. But at least it's positive news now!

We miss having you around all the time Eric!
 
I just talked to Jeff, who rode over to b-ham today with Tony to pick up Jen's new ride. Jeff said they missed seeing eric today....


Because he wasn't at the hospital! He's on his way home!

I'm sure there's still a long recovery ahead of him, but this is very good news.

Yeah, we wish we could have seen him today but him going home is much more important than seeing our ugly mugs! I hope we hear from him soon on Mud.

Talked to Eric for a couple minutes this afternoon. He seems to be in pretty good spirits considering...

Also went and picked up the Cattywampus and got her fired off tonight.
Guess I'll drive it around for a while so she doesn't feel abandoned.

Any thoughts on servicing the tranny? She's got 138k on the odo and the tranny doesn't feel quite right.
Thought it would be nice to get her caught up on some maintenance while in my possession.

I plan on OLF, balance and rotation, alignment, and possible tranny service.

Anybody else know anything that it needs?

Already put a new battery in it. It now has a fresh Exide Orbital.

It had some leaks that he had parts to fix-don't know where the parts are though. Eric is in Auburn tonight-I stopped by for a little while. He's in great spirits and is looking forward to hanging out sometime soon. he's going back to Brundidge with his mom tomorrow and he should be back in Auburn on Saturday.
 
Bring it up to Jackson and we'll get her going good. I'm sure we can enlist the help of the CLC. I will put out a Presidential order that everyone is to be there! Maybe we can do it as the monthly meeting in July. Let me know if you want to do this and we'll make it happen. We'll even wax the ole girl! Maybe Eric can make the trip if he's feelin' up to it.

I appreciate the offer, but I run an auto repair shop so we should have it covered.

I know he had been talking about replacing the rear main seal. Don't know what else..
I will get it on a rack tomorrow and find out what's going on underneath.

Not much experience on the auto's myself, but I frequently see suggestions to adjust the kickdown cable, and change the fluid.

Also, leaky RMS on the 2F/3F engines often turn out to be a leaky oil pan gasket.
