Just talked with Eric and more good news today. He was talking normal instead of like a drunk, he's up walking around, eating more, and his last two cultures for mold were negative. If his cultures are negative for about another week, then they will put in another shunt and provided that goes as planned, he'll be home a couple of days after that. So he's headed in the right direction. Pray for more negative cultures!

Great news...Thanks!

this is good news!

Great news! Eric, you're still in our prayers.

Yep, good news today. The Doctors came in while we were there. Eric told them he hadn't had headaches in the last few days. Dr said his "mold numbers" were down to 70 from 800. They want to see numbers more like 5 or 7, so he still has a way to go.

Side note: He has a tube sticking out of his head, draining fluid to keep the pressure down. I couldn't help but laugh about the tube sticking from his head when I remembered this thread on the way home this afternoon. Maybe this whole thing was a ruse to hide the fact that Eric is finally having the growth in his hair removed. (for the e-slow take note that Dearborne edited Eric's posts about when he found a tick in his hair after GSMTR.)

Folks, our friend isn't out of the woods yet. Step up and kick in some dough if you can. Kick in some good thoughts and prayers either way. He has been in this ordeal for 3 months now, so medical bills are starting to come in. Monthly bills are rough considering he's out of work, but I can't imagine the medical bills. I'm in for another Paypal on Monday AM. Who else can step up?

Yall send him a card or something. I brought him a couple of 4x4 mags and he seemed happy to get them.

Thanks for the update Greg. If you plan on going back over to visit I can go on Mondays and would love to pitch in on the gas or grease. Keep me posted.

Later,

Amazing what the body can recover from if the mind is willing. Keep up the good work Eric.
Paypal sent.

Man I hope this works. He's got a little over 3 months to get better. He has won an all expense paid vacation to Gray Rock that he has to collect on!

Later,

Cottonland is Awesome!!!

After rereading the Eric Hagan thread, I am amazed at what your group is accomplishing. I don't know the legal heartaches of doing it, but I think your club should consider becoming a 501-3c corporation which would give you non-profit status. You do great works in your community and I know you would qualify. We did the same here in Georgia for a Sportsman club we formed to help with kids and hunting and fishing activities. It would definitely make people want to donate more money especially if it's tax deductible because y'all would be non-profit. I looked up TLCA on foundationcenter.org and found out they are a non-profit, so I know a Land Cruiser club could qualify. If there is anyway I can help, let me know. Keep up the good works.

Thanks Mark! Now everybody needs to buy some CRAP!
