Appreciate the help folks! I've put the word out locally and reached out through some Aussie Facebook groups as well. I think I have a line on one in NZ but the guy seemed somewhat reluctant.

This appears to be what I need. A pump from a '94 or older A442F/A440. Should have 11 holes and looks like this:

I only really need the front half, number 510 in this diagram, but would take the whole thing if need be:

If you can't find a use one, conntact Dave Stedman at Japan4x4. His new prices are the best.

@miatafreak, @GarnerFJ40 has two A440Fs sitting in his yard. If you sweettalk him, you might be able to get a pump.

I actually just tracked one down on marketplace in Montana, the guy shipped it out to me today. Should be able to rebuild that one and throw it in assuming it measures up OK.

I'm interested to hear how that goes. Please keep us informed of your success. Good luck!

It's been a few years but for my portion of the issues I was able to successfully replace the front half of the pump. I replaced the bushing that had spun on my old one with one I tracked down from a transmission supplier. Ended up machining a press nose at work and using a Loctite retaining compound to make sure it doesn't spin again any time soon.
