Looking to rebuild my transmission soon. After 350xxx km it feels like it’s getting weak(2nd gear slight flare, 3-2 mis shift, OD manual engagement flare). I’ve upgraded the VB, replaced the solenoids, and TC about 50xxx km ago. Oem frictions from PS are getting harder to get and I’m wondering how similar if not identical the AW450-43LE transmission is to the A442F? These trucks trans are common in Canada and US and a friction and steel kit can be found easier.
