Hey all,

Trying to diagnose a power cut out at highway speeds and on hills. In 4th gear on the highway the freshly rebuild 1977 2F cuts out abruptly. I have to let off the throttle or if it's too bad, use the clutch.

Wanted to get the groups input on this... I'll be swapping the fuel filter first today and see if that helps.

I was also researching and found that the carb's secondary might not be opening. I tried the paperclip trick and this is what i got. Is this enough?

Prior to my drive to town today to ship an 8274 mount to a customer, I put the paperclip on the carb and noticed that the plug was drying out and cracked. I wrapped in electric tape and hit the road. Upon my return i checked the clip and found a drip of fuel from the large tube. Any idea what's causing this?

Are these related? Any ideas?

Also, i live at 5000' and drive up from there.
