We all love tire size questions, right? I am running 295/75/16 and thinking of moving up to 315's. I have plenty of lift and 1" spacers on stock wheels, so I don't think that I will have too many fut issues - that's not really the question.

My question is whether they will make the truck noticeably slower? Or feel that way. I am aware that he 295's are a big jump from stock, but the 315's are another and I don't want to make the truck "breathless" from a gearing standpoint.

I am 95% road/fire road/farm, so they won't be driven hard offroad much.

So for those who run them (without re-gearing), how do they feel?

It’s totally subjective. I know a lot of people who run 315’s on a 4 speed rigs who feel that it’s fine. I hated how mine felt on 35’s and I’ve got a 5 speed so I regeared my t-case. It’s amazing now, all of the benefits of 35’s without the drawbacks.
My advice would be to try it out, it might work for you. If not you can choose to regear or step the size back down. It won’t be undriveable.
