Dog update, Pixie will NOT lose her eye! The opthamologist expects a full recovery (and that only cost me $187 to find out).

Great news. Ophthalmologist ? Cool.
I once had my Dentist do a rebuild of a Boykin's canine tooth.
He LOVED to show it to friend clients when discussing their tooth repair as an example of his work.
He said it was always good for a laugh and he never got tired of the gag.

You don't want to get bitten by a coral snake any time soon, since no one makes anti-venom any more.



coral snakes have such a bad rap,,, i believe in the history of mankind, only one reported death from a coral snake. There are many reasons they are not as deadly as people make them out.

1) not aggressive, you would have to pinch or step on them to get a reaction (bite)

2) small mouths, they would not be able to open their mouths around anything to get their fangs in.

3) small fangs, they cant bite thru alot of materials

4) old school venom injection, they have to chew on the bite area to get their venom in the wound

5) dry bites, they have a percentage of instances were they release no venom in the wound

6) crepuscular and not as common as other snakes in the wild


i have kept many,many different venomous animals over the years and above is just my 2 cents
