Just wanted to take a second and introduce myself. Name's Brian, and I'll be moving to Carthage, NY in a little over a month and a half from Colorado Springs, CO. Currently, I'm a member of the Colorado Land Cruisers, based in the Springs. I look forward to joining up with GCLC and meeting it's members and continuing my passion for wheeling in a much different environment. A big thanks to Steve for extending a warm welcome to the NY area after seeing a post of mine in one of the CruiseMoab forums!

I've been in a Toyota trail rig for about 6 years, slowly climbing into bigger and bigger rigs until finally ending up in Willy the Trail Whale, my 1992 FJ80. It's all locked up, with a complete 4" Ironman Lift, 35" General Grabbers, and custom paint/bed liner and dents. This cruiser has been a blast to build and wheel, and I've certainly learned a lot about it in the last 30 months of ownership. I'm most certainly excited to get down to a lower elevation to give my 3FE a little bit more life. Life above 6000 ft for a 3FE is not an easy task.

Once again, I look forward to meeting all of you and getting in some quality wheeling once I'm finally settled in!

WELCOME!

Plan on coming to the Coal Mine Cruiser Classic in July.....

We need to do a NYC meet up it sounds like... Or maybe a BBQ sometime, at my house in Long Island maybe. I'd like to see 10 or 15 cruisers parked in front of my house!
I'll see if I can put something together.

I'm in!

i want to go to American Muffler out in Westbury so i can have a flowmaster install.

also, would you recommend a mechanic or shop in the area?

I have a good and trustworthy mechanic here in East North port... Glann at Hunter's Garage... he has worked on my 60 a few times.

If this happens, the wife will demand to do a show. But we are all for traveling! Neither of us have really ventured in the NE, so being in Upstate NY will let us do all that. Having friends on Boston and Baltimore helps as well.

Dumb question: is a 3FE better at sea level than 6000ft? Anyone made that comparison ever? Lol

Also, if anyone does home brews, I'll be interested. My new house in NY had a back shack that was set up for brewing by the previous owner. So I'll trying that out, as well as dabbling in ciders for the wife.

We are spoilt with craft beer here, so I might as well try to make it there
