98 4 Runner clutch question

I have 110,000 miles,a new clutch,the master cylinder and clutch slave do not leak.The clutch operates normal.My problem is that the clutch pedal does'nt always return all the way back after its pushed down.I have to put my foot behind the pedal to return it.Anyone ever have this problem?

You may try replacing the torsion spring on the pedal.


Part number 90949-03022 roughly $12 bucks.

diddo on the spring at the top of the pedal bracket. On my tacoma the spring actually bent right in the middle, clutch still works fine but the pedal will sit a tad lower and you can pull it up with your toe.
