Rescued this '96 from it's second owner about a month ago. I've been wrestling with the idea of keeping it or selling it to someone who can really get her back up to speed quickly
. Truly a great find, so it's with hesitation that I post it for sale. I've been commuting and daily driving it without issue since I bought it.
1996/366K/black on grey.
The good:
*Lockers
*GA truck
*NO rust; as clean and rust free undercarriage as you'll find!
*Transmission fluid service
*Front and rear diff fluid service
*PS fluid service
*Transfer case fluid service
*New brake booster and master cylinder
*Heater control valve replaced
*New drive belts
*Faux wood removed
*Third brake light fixed
*No rust underneath roof rack
*Front axle not leaking
*Good radiator
*New T-stat
*Windshield professionally resealed
*Sunroof works and doesn't leak
*Practically new 285/75/16 Toyo AT2
*Superb paint minus hood and roof
The bad:
*Needs oil pump seal, crankshaft seal, and valve cover gasket.
*Needs complete tune up
*Heat works but AC not blowing cold
*Some dash lights need replacing
*DS PS seats need new leather
*Seat gears need replacing
*Windows are slow up and down
*Dirty headliner
*Rear locker wont engage (CDL and front locker engage)
I'm looking to get back what I have in it up to this point, including time and effort. Bottom line is this is one hell of a rust free truck that is just a bit tired and needs some basic maintenance to get her back in shape. I haven't posted this on Craigslist yet. The undercarriage is so cherry that I'd like to see a member get it and do it justice. If it doesn't sell I'll keep it and start throwing $ into it.
