My 94 Land Cruiser is idling rough. Replaced spark plugs and now engine light has an emissions error so I'm looking to replace the 02 sensors. Denso Part #234-4520 is the upstream (left)sensor. Can't seem to find the downstream (right sensor). Can you use the same upstream sensor for the downstream sensor?

Also, going to replace the catalytic converter. Any suggestions on what the best brand is to get?

One more thing. Any thoughts on replacing EGR Valve???

Where do you live? Are emissions test manditory?

Two sensors in this kit.

toyotapartsdeal.com seems to have best price on sensor kit. Any experience dealing with them?

If not what is a reputable company to order the sensors from?

Try Toyotaonlineparts.com

'94 has two sensors and both are before the cat, one is obvious and the other is more of a pain. I would do some diagnostics before replacing any emissions devices, I had a EGR diaphragm valve and a vacuum switch go bad on mine.

One of the electrical switches underneath the upper intake plenum that the vacuum hoses run to.

Yup, like Sc0- eluded, that second O2 sensor is right next to the left sensor. You need to maneuver your hand around a bit but you'll find it. I actually followed the wires that came from way up underneath the rig that leads you to the sensors. It's easy to replace but a bit time consuming if the bolts are rusted. Saturate with any penatrant of your choice.

Do you have to remove the catalytic converter from the exhaust pipe assembly or either of the front exhaust pipe assembly from the manifold to replace sensors?

Or can u simply just remove the sensors in place?

The left and right sensors are identical. You can replace them without removing anything-its a little tight but not that bad.

hey I checked both sites and could not locate the "kit" with 2 sensors.

does anyone know if those are available?

Hey, welcome back and congratulations! Check out Cruiserparts.com. I bought a set from them last year. The price was good for genuine toyota.

thanks man I appreciate it! feels good to be back. Now time to do a few things to the cruiser before good ol smog is due in Feb.

I checked with them. I will try and call tomorrow.

I was emailing one person and they only said it came as a single sensor "kit" that consisted of the sensor, gasket and nuts.

When you go to Cruiserparts site input the part number above in post number 4. I am sure that two sensors came in this one bag kit.

Ntk is the oe supplier during those years. Google the parts number under amazon ebay an check parts geek. Far as Egr valve you can use block plates but will need to install resistor or get a plug off a 93 harness. And cats you can run straight pipe get flanges off internet the ones sold for 22r on 4 runner match up an use the stock inshino stone gasket

Don't hack up your pipes or let some exhaust shop hacker get the flanges an weld straight pipe tell the shop not hack your oe stuff unless you don't care
