Why would you work on it with those huge tires on the truck? I always slap some 31s on mine when I have to crawl in and out 200 times a week.

Don't know about the rear hoops. Love the rest of the cage, but I need more to be convinced on that one.

i dig the rear hoops, looks like one of kind and that is awesome
cheers chappy

It's not bad...I like seeing how things look as I build

preesh, I got some stuff in the works for the back half

Way cool
80 series is severy limited by its heaviness and fat assness. Im excited to see what this thing weighs after all the hacking.

in all honesty I have no idea what it'll weigh , just b/c the top isn't all that heavy

More on the rear cage

Thats some fancyness right there. Love the rear bars.

lookin good, (although i'm pretty sure the middle hoop is crooked:grinpimp:)

i'm with Nolen on the rear hoop, not sure.

Looks like its dying to have the rear "fenders" doved!, but...thats just me

U know it Dave! I will be at DPG goofing off most likly. I need to finish the dang buggy. If i could find some more sheet metal to finish 1 peice of the floor then it would be ready for paint. School is awesome man...well everything but the going to class part.

There was some discussion about dovetailing the corners, but the added storage and the increased tire coverage ('cause every little bit helps when controlling the amount of debris coming up behind the rear passengers) provided by the platforms won out.

The top was also missing most of the glass... In the end you should do a poll like Eskimo did.

I believe Slee's short bus is close to the weight of a stock 80. When I met him at Moab he said it was 5500 lbs.

BTW I like the look of the a$$, sure is original. But then again not everyone gets to cut up an 80.:cheers:
