My '92 LC's A/C was running great the last year or so, now it has become intermittent. It would run strong for a bit and then cut out. When it would cut out, the idle would drop, and the idle would rise back respectively as the AC came back.
It is now to the point where it will not turn on at all. I have confirmed the compressor has a healthy charge (converted to 134a). I want to clarify now that the compressor is not coming on at all. If the compressor runs, the AC is cold and strong. It is all or noting. When I disconnect the plug from the compressor, the idle rises significantly, even though the compressor is NOT running when it is plugged in. If I jump the compressor, it turns on and the AC blows cold. So seems like an electrical issue to me - but not sure where to start.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
