91 extra cab winshield whippers

I was wondering if anyone has experienced there windshield whippers running on there own? Fired truck up today and couldn't get the whippers to shut off. They ran til I got to work then shut off then when I went to lunch I couldn't get them to shut off. I gave up and pulled fuse. Any help would be great.

Guessing the switch has a short.

It could also be the microswitch inside the wiper motor that makes sure the arms are back down to the park position when you turn them off. It overrides the switch until the arms are all the way down, then it shuts the motor off. If that microswitch got jammed on, it would never shut the motor off.

Just an idea.

The wipers work like they are set on low. When you switch them to high they go faster but the delay does not work.
