i have a 1990 toyota 44runner with a 3.o piece i blew my engine in may from sucking in bout 3 gallons of watter its got 265/75r/16 procomp all terrains on 16 inch black rock crawler rims its got a 8000 lbs warn winch covered by a arb front bumper replacement im putting a engine in from japan for like 800 bucks and its got 9000 miles on it so im happy but my real question is is can n e body tell me where i need to go and what all i need to get for a chevy sb 350 or a zz4 crate motor im already saving up to do a solid axle swap and im having some friends do the swap for me at a local 4x4 shop that specelize in yotas but before i go n e further i need to no what parts to by for the motor sway im going from a fi to a carb can n e body help me out there?

<- Mud salute. Don't let the punctuation police scare you off! We're all pretty nice here...Doing a V8 swap into a 4Runner is always a tight fit.... The best thing to do is get the whole donor vehicle (as is the case in any engine swap...) cause you never know what little parts you may need... I'm not a big fan of that kind of swap, so I can't help you out with any leads, but I know it has been done.

thanks y'all. im sorry about my punctuation and spelling. By the way my name is David and i am a mudder. i have been mudding since i was born. my dad started one of the first toyota off-road clubs in northern VA i now live in the great state of Texas. agin sorry for my spelling and punctuation .now yall can see y texas has such a low education score (lol) jk. i now live in Austin Texas a frequent weeling spot is called walnut creek ranch located in Bastrop, Texas bout 30 min away from south Austin. thanks agin yall David C
So the question is about a SB Chevy swap? Literally - there are hundreds of Chevotas running around. Advance Adapters makes adapters to put the engine in front of the Toy tranny. I think they also have an adapter that lets you put the GM tranny in and then the Toyota transfer case behind that package.
Buy my Suburban! V8 350, sm465 manual tranny, 36"tires, the whole package! I think it would look great rebuilt into a Toyota.
