Have been working on this truck for several years. Figured I'd document in single location if for no other reason than to help me track and document future progress.

Background: Purchased stock in 1991 with 78k miles. Currently at 146k. (I'll list upgrades and mods later in this initial post.)

Note: High skill and technical work is done by family, friends, and shops with the know how and expertise in their respective fields. I have marginal banana expertise but have thoroughly enjoyed this rig for over 25 years. Cheers.

Fit tested new rear bumper. Used Fourrunner's kit with swingouts and ladder add-on from Trail Tailor. Next is hitch build and then powder coat. Cutouts are for rear Rigid white led lights. Pretty pleased with the progress so far.

Leaking knuckles solved. They look great. Thanks to help from fellow mudder and knuckle rebuild kit. Galley plug fix and valve adjustment also done.

Wow you went big on cleaning the knuckles!! looks good.. I am going to have to do my drivers side in the spring, got a weird grumbling coming from it at 28mph (only) and she is leaking a bit.

AC system. Complete rebuild. Compressor, clutch, hoses, and miscellaneous. Converting from R12 to R134. Not a cheap proposition but I need cold air in So Cal weather.

Windshield wiper upgrade. 4Runner arms from mid 90s vintage. Good improvement.

Sweet ride, probably my favorite color of an FJ of all time. I just posted regarding people running these tires, I missed that you had them! Those are awesome rims, what kind are they? looks like a 33" tire (285/75R16 right?)

Ok...7 months later .....and the left bumper swing out has been modified to allow left rear blinker/brake light visibility.
