'83 pick up long bed inner bed side panels

Hi- anyone know of a source for some type of inner bed panels, preferably metal, to protect the outer bed wall from damage? Thank you.

Find some used ones at the junkyard? Or a local shop could make some up for you out of sheetmetal.

What about a drop-in plastic bedliner?

I'd prefer side liners rather than the drop in variety.

83' didn't have inner bed walls. Might try a 84/85 longbed, they came with them. Would need to fab up some mounting tabs for them though.

I have considered the same, I think fabbing some up is the answer.

Good idea. I'll be on the lookout for 84/85 long bed side panels. Yes the damage that happens with cargo shifting happens quickly.

That's not damage, it's patina. I know all to well about those fragile bedsides.
