1981 Toyota Landcruiser BJ42 - Diesel Oak Bay, Victoria

Owner says he's got all the fsm and other manuals. 4 speed, no ps, some rust in the back of tub. $4500 seems like a good price. He bought it in 83. Under 200,000 km.

It has been under a tarp since 2006. Needs clutch slave repair. Says it runs well.

Pics sure do suck.

From what he said it likely only needs work to the rear sill.

yeah...I seem to be missing out on all 3 these days too..

on another note, there's a rusted seized bag o' s*** 40 up island

however, almost looks like it has a ff rear in that one pic

toyota landcruiser v8

I'd guess that the rear axle just has a chrome cap nor a ff.

What's with the crappy pictures?

They should at least put a fourth wheel on it and get it running (if it will)... They'd sell it a lot faster. If it won't even run then they're asking way too much money.

make sure you get the birds and squirrels out of the intake before starting it...peta will be all over you....

gonna take a wild guess that it's the 42 you bought, so get some better pics!

Yeppers, Oak by rig, needs a tub, and all doors, windsheild frame fenders and hood, front cowl are all in good shape.

Prolly just get weld in parts for the lower doors an repair them. Roof is in really good shape.

More than likely frame off and do her up right, light wheeling not hardcore like Jay.....:p

Got to get me a trailer and get down this weekend to get it.

Hey Rob,

These weld in lower door parts that your talking about... where do they come from do you guys carry them?

I need something just like that for my amby doors ... and perhaps for my front doors unless I an find some better doors...

Might try and get a couple sets, talking with a vedor who may supply me with a 3/4 tub all steel to factory spec and not cheap.

Will have more informatin later on the doors.

While you are getting prices on sheet metal, can you get front fenders? What would they be worth?

Or metal tech fenders?

I'll have to give that some thought on the fbg ones. I've used quite a bit of fbg and carbon fiber for prosthetics. I'm sure the principles would be the same for fenders likely less the PVA bags and vacuum.

I was working on a set of moulds to match my modified fender lines and make them out of co-poly (plastic). I've got some a ways to go yet though.
I've also got some tubing that I was considering making tube fenders out of. No tubing bender though.

yeah, considerably less high tech, basically wax the holy bejeezus out of the molds, then paint in some gelcoat (if you want) and lay up the fenders. I made a few sets with these molds, Jonathan has a set on his 40 running around duncan.

anyways, you can borrow the molds if you ever want to try em.

cheers,
