Is there anyone local that makes a good set of 80 Series sliders? Looking to tack some on before making the trip to Colorado in a few weeks. Obviously can order some, but just didn't know if there was someone local fabbing them (I had someone in WI that was on the hook to make some for me, then I upped and moved).

I’m in the same market you’re in. I understand a guy from OK makes a great set that can be adjusted up and down. I haven’t had time to track him down.
As you are moving out in a few weeks you may be better off ordering a set. I’d suggest http://www.metaltech4x4.com/p-6-fzj80-series-land-cruiser-sliders-9597.aspx for a few different reasons. More protection for the CATs, rail extends out a bit more in front of the rear tire and (IIRC) Metal Tech will ship product unfinished if you wanted to match the slider to your paint.
Regardless of what slider direction you go, I’d like to get feedback on how you like what ya end up with.

I'm headed this route myself metal tech want to much. Plus these guys guarantee the wont bend.

"Rocky Road Rock Sliders are the strongest, and most protective bars on the market, with the best mounting system, and are guaranteed NEVER to bend. You read correctly, these come with a lifetime guarantee to never bend or dent. No other rock slider on the market would, or could dare make this offer."

I had a pair from All Pro for my 07 FJC with the kick outs, it actually saved my butt coming out of the river on Taylor Pass a few years back. Helped me avoid a can opener. Unfortunate that they don't make any 80 armor. My buddy had a pair of Slee's for his 80, I didn't like the looks.

I had forgotten all about RRO. Did you see how they connected to the frame? Looks like there are tabs that hang below the frame rail with a bolt running through.

I was thinking of getting a set of these....

Yes, more fab work...
So if you’re talking the first items listed on the page, Rock Sliders ($179 to $199), it looks like you will have to fab or buy Rock Slider Gusset Kit (+$20 to $25 more). Still less $$$$ but I can't weild. Are you worried about smashing your CAT(s)?
