Buy a case in the USA and ship to the line.... saves on shipping and fuel is cheaper, 50/50 if u pay tax or not

i just ordered 8 for $220.00 $can from US Toyota dealer - free shipping to the border. I pick them up with my $800 exemption - no tax. The Amazon.ca price looks very competitive with US suppliers. The number looks good, but what does the 8T mean ? The US ones I get do not have that.

HUBB filter for me next time I'll by 2 and swap them around HUBB Filters – The Next Generation Oil Filter used to use similar on bikes and loved them

How much does the little washing machine for the HUBB filters cost as well as the cleaner solution?
Not to mention how much do the filters cost as well. How long does it take a filter to dry?
If you have used these maybe post up a couple of pics and whether its really worth the time and money.
They claim double the oil change interval, which would sure be a huge savings in oil alone.

8T is the Thailand equivalent

I always just washed them out with brake clean or something similar I sold the last dirtbike with it on after many years I think filter was 100. I didn't do anything different on the bike with interval change but I don't think they advertised that with the motorcycle ones at the time. Because of the media it's supposed to maintain flow better I guess thats why they say you can go twice as long. This is the brand I used on bikes Scotts Performance Products

I prefer the 90915-30002 Made in Japan original over the 8T Made in Thailand. See the post #36 the Made in Japan has different (maybe better) guts than the Made in Thailand version.
If going to the US was inconvenient I would certainly use the (Amazon.ca) 90915-30002 8T over any aftermarket filter. I like long engine life.

I don't know if the 8T's are a 10k filter, I know the 30002's are

Im starting to wonder if they are making the Japan one still, looking on various part sites it says to use the 8T number.... I gotta order some for a friend pretty quick so I will see what the USA stock is on those puppies. 13000+ showing up of the 8T in the UAE thou lol

Starting in 2002 toyota started changing over filter production from Japan to Thailand. It started first with the high use smaller engines like the found in the Corolla etc. It was only a matter of time till they switched everything over. As far as I know the only filters still made in Japan are used and available only for new engines leaving the plant. Once they make it to dealer there is no way to get the made in Japan filter again.

When the Thailand filters started showing up for the smaller engines we (Toyota dealer i worked at) cut two open one was the made in Japan and the other same change up Thai filter. There was some visable differences. The Japan ones as usual looked far superior.

Better than an aftermarket, atlast it has the TP roll in half of it............. on the 8T anyway

Wix 57254 and Bladwin BD7029 are both twin element aftermarket option oil filters.

I have always had good luck with Baldwin filters, they are well made and seem to be a higher end filter. Wix I would say is not on the same level but far better than Fram.

I have a Donaldson Blue on my cummins right now that I am looking forward to opening once I do an oil change. Nit sure if they make anything for the 1hd but they are one of the main filter manufacturers in the world.

BCR4619 how much for those Donaldson filters - they are for the Yanmar marine 1HDT?

I don't think he uses them. Simply put them into the Google machine and found that out. Give it a try.

BD7029 a few years back for me was in the $40 range retail. I had an employee discount at the time for $25 or so

I use those pretty red and white boxes that are made in Japan

I just picked up my 8 oil filters (part#90915-30002) at the border, ordered Aug.6th - I can confirm they are the Made in Japan ones. Good deal $27.50 $Can per filter after tax, handling and shipping.
Maybe they are selling the Thailand ones outside of the US.
